Pharaoh
Pharaoh, better known as the GodKing Pharaoh, is the JBSKATER who created the JBGODS Skate Team and the JBGODS Rose Awards. JBGODS was originally created to recognize all of the skaters in Chicago with this unique and signature style. Pharaoh wanted their faces to appear in the history books that the local schools would use to teach their children. So, Pharaoh created the JBGODS social media page on Instagram. However, despite his good intentions, many skaters did not respond well to him. They would decline opportunities to be filmed or photographed by him.
Then, some time later he met a couple of skaters who he got along well with. They would skate together on and off, it was nothing serious. Then one day Skotty asked Pharaoh if JBGODS was a skate group. It wasn’t yet. Skotty told Pharaoh that if he wanted to create a group, he would be willing to join. Pharaoh thought that was an awesome offer but didn’t see it developing. Weeks or months later, he got the same approach from Keem, who is also from Wisconsin. Pharaoh didn’t know it at the time, but he was still flattered by the offer and decided to create the JBGODS Skate Team.
